Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park (Overnight in Karatu)
Your safari journey begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel or arrival point in Arusha. Depart in a private 4×4 safari vehicle and enjoy the scenic drive through Tanzania’s countryside to Tarangire National Park.
Spend the day exploring Tarangire’s iconic landscapes, famous for its majestic baobab trees, seasonal wildlife corridors, and the Tarangire River—a vital water source for thousands of animals. Get your camera ready for incredible sightings of large elephant herds, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, predators, and over 500 species of birdlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon game drive. In the late afternoon, exit the park and head toward Karatu for dinner and your overnight stay.

Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch near the hippo pool before beginning your afternoon ascent out of the crater.
